“On Kıta Bir Vatan İlelebet İstiklal” Temalı Afiş Tasarım Yarışması
2021 yılının, TBMM Genel Kurulu tarafından İstiklal marşımızın kabulünün 100. Yılına ithafen “İstiklal Marşı” yılı olarak ilan edilmiş olması nedeniyle Gazi Üniversitesi, Gazi Eğitim Fakültesi, Güzel Sanatlar Eğitimi Bölümü, Resim-İş Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı tarafından ulusal katılımlı bir “Afiş Tasarım Yarışması” düzenlenmiştir.
İstiklal Marşımız, Mehmet Akif Ersoy tarafından Şubat 1921'de kaleme alınmış, İstiklal Harbi'nin devam ettiği günlerde, 1 Mart 1921'de TBMM Genel Kurulunda ilk kez okunmuştur. Bu tarihten 11 gün sonra, 12 Mart 1921'de icra edilen altıncı birleşimde ise TBMM Genel Kurulu tarafından resmi Milli Marşımız olarak kabul edilmiştir.
TBMM Genel Kurulunda, 2021 yılının "İstiklal Marşı Yılı" olmasına yönelik önerge teklifinin gerekçesinde, büyük vatan şairimiz Mehmet Akif Ersoy’un 100 yıl önce kaleme aldığı ve “kahraman ordumuza ithaf ettiği bu marş, milletimizin tüm fertlerinin aynı heyecan ve imanla verdiği İstiklal Harbi'nin manifestosudur. Varlığımıza ve birliğimize yönelik her tehdit karşısında, 'nazlı' ve 'şanlı' hilalin altında toplanmaya hazır milletimizin ortak vicdanı, yüreği ve iradesidir " ifadeleri yer almaktadır.
“…Milli Mücadele'nin başlangıcının ve TBMM'nin açılışının 100. yılının akabinde, İstiklal Marşı'nın kabul edilmesinin 100. yılına denk gelen 2021 yılı boyunca düzenlenecek olan özel etkinliklerle İstiklal Marşı'nın anlam ve öneminin hatırlanması, ayrıca İstiklal şairimiz Mehmet Akif Ersoy'un ve kurtuluş mücadelemizde görev alarak Türkiye'yi bize vatan kılan şehit ve gazilerimizin yâd edilmesi amaçlanmaktadır."
Hürriyet ve istiklal aşkından asla vazgeçmeyeceğimizin sembolü olarak kabul edilmiş olan İstiklal Marşımızın temsil ettiği değerlerin öneminin vurgulanmasına ilişkin kalıcı eserler kazandırmak amacıyla Gazi Üniversitesi olarak düzenlediğimiz “On Kıta Bir Vatan İlelebet İstiklal” Temalı Afiş Tasarım Yarışmasına tasarımcılar 325 adet afişle başvurmuşlardır.
